Ben Simmons Drops Career-High 34 Points In Victory
5 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers point guard/small forward Ben Simmons had the best scoring night of his young career in Saturday’s win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, collecting 34 points across just 26 minutes of action. Without Joel Embiid on the floor, Simmons took command early, piling up 26 points in the first half en route to shooting 12-for-14 overall, including making the only three-point shot that he attempted. There’s no telling how high his scoring could have gone had he had an entire game, although he did add seven assists, three rebounds, two steals and two blocks to what was one of his best performances of the season. His sky-high value will take a slight dip Sunday when he faces a stout Toronto defense, especially with Embiid expected back in the mix.
