Julius Randle Logs Double-Double, Misses Chance To Force OT
5 years agoNew York Knicks power forward/center Julius Randle stepped to the free-throw line with 0.1 seconds remaining Saturday, but after making his first free throw, saw his second clank off the rim, sealing a defeat to the Indiana Pacers. Despite the missed opportunity, he still finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds, his first double-double since Nov. 29. After opening the season with five straight double-doubles, Randle has accrued four over his last 18 contests. While he finished 6-for-18 from the field Saturday, the shot attempts tied his season high, and with head coach David Fizdale and his wildly fluctuating rotations no longer at the helm, Randle could continue to see significant looks offensively moving forward.
