Marcus Smart Will Miss Monday’s Contest
5 years agoBoston Celtics point/shooting guard Marcus Smart has been ruled out for Monday’s game versus the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a left eye infection. His ailment paves the way for Gordon Hayward to re-enter the starting five after a one-month absence due to a broken hand. Hayward isn’t expected to face any minutes restrictions and is likely to force Smart back to the bench once he is able to return. Smart has averaged nearly three more points per game as a starter this season (12.5 versus 9.6 as a reserve), with his next chance to take the floor coming Wednesday against Indiana.
