5 years agoWashington Wizards forward Rui Hachimura scored 18 points with 12 rebounds, two assists, and a steal in a 114-107 loss to the Charlotte Hornets. Not only did the rookie post the second double-double of his career, he did it in style by recording a career-high 12 boards. The former Gonzaga star has been remarkably consistent this year- a rare trait for a rookie. He ranks fifth among rookies in minutes, 29.6, sixth in points, 14.2, and second in rebounds, 5.8. Hachimura will look to keep up this impressive campaign on Saturday night against the Memphis Grizzlies, who allow the fifth-most points per game in the NBA.--Tim Capurso
