Hassan Whiteside Dominates In Limited Minutes
5 years agoPortland Trail Blazers center Hassan Whiteside imposed his will in a blowout win versus the Knicks on Tuesday night, posting 17 points on seven of 11 shooting with 11 rebounds and five blocks. Whiteside is up for a new contract this summer, and he's certainly showing out with three-year highs in points, rebounds and blocks per game. He's also shooting a career high from the free-throw line and his second-best mark from the field, all in less than 30 minutes of nightly action. Jusuf Nurkic will eventually make his return but will require significant time to re-establish himself. As a result, expect Whiteside's two-way dominance to play a prominent role for Portland and continue to reward every fantasy owner who took a chance on this uber-talented big man on draft day.
