5 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans power forward/center Derrick Favors will get back onto the floor for Friday’s contest versus the Philadelphia 76ers following a 13-game absence due to personal reasons. Favors will immediately rejoin the starting five, thereby eliminating nearly all of the fantasy value for the duo of Jaxson Hayes and Jahlil Okafor, who figure to take on bench roles, even as Favors is expected to see only 15-17 minutes. In the nine games that Favors has appeared this season, he has shot a terrific 62.1 percent from the floor overall, although how quickly he is able to regain form after a long lay-off remains to be seen.--Jesse Borek
