5 years agoWashington Wizards point guard Isaiah Thomas has been upgraded to questionable to appear in Saturday’s game versus the Memphis Grizzlies due to a left calf strain. Thomas has missed each of Washington’s past four outings, and a return would likely force Ish Smith back to the second unit, as a timeshare between the two had been in full force prior to Thomas’ injury. The two-time All-Star has shot the ball excellently from long range this season, having put himself on pace for a new career high in three-point percentage at 41 percent through his first 17 games. Should Thomas be able to suit up, he would benefit from facing a porous Grizzlies defensive unit.--Jesse Borek
