5 years agoAtlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young went down shooting. Young finished 9-for-30 from the field during Friday’s loss to the Indiana Pacers, tying his season high in shot attempts en route to a 23-point showing. He packed the rest of his stat sheet with eight assists, seven rebounds and three made triples, as Young continues to be a usage monster on a nightly basis. In addition to being the team’s far and away No. 1 scoring option (nearly on a possession-by-possession basis), the second-year guard has dished out at least six assists in each of his last 19 games. He draws a matchup versus a stingy Lakers defensive unit Sunday, albeit one that he dropped 31 points against back on Nov. 17.--Jesse Borek
