5 years agoIndiana Pacers small forward Doug McDermott dropped 16 points off the bench during Friday’s win over the Atlanta Hawks, finishing 6-for-7 from the field overall. McDermott has now exceeded double figures as a reserve in five of his last six games, having shot 15-for-24 from three-point range in that stretch. He added two rebounds and two assists Friday, and while he often contributes little outside of scoring, McDermott once again saw his minutes bumped up. Should he begin to draw in excess of 25-plus minutes per night, he will have both DFS and deep season-long league value for his elite shooting alone.--Jesse Borek
