5 years agoDallas Mavericks point/shooting guard Jalen Brunson rejoined the starting five for Monday’s win over the Milwaukee Bucks and recorded his first double-double of 2019-20. With Luka Doncic (ankle) out of the mix, Brunson appears in line to be the primary beneficiary of increased ball-handling duties, as he compiled 13 points, 11 assists and four rebounds across his first start since Nov. 3. After starting 38 games as a rookie last season, Brunson has taken on a reduced role this year, although he entered the night shooting 49.1 percent from the field and should have short-term value so long as Doncic is sidelined.--Jesse Borek
