Malik Monk Scores Season-High 23 In Win
5 years agoCharlotte Hornets guard Malik Monk scored 23 points with 10 rebounds, four assists, two triples, and a steal in a 110-102 win over the Sacramento Kings. Monk came up clutch in this one, with 14 points in the fourth quarter en route to his first double-double of the year. His minutes have been up-and-down but he's played at least 25 in each of his last two games thanks to an injury to PJ Washington (finger). Monk has averaged career-highs in points, rebounds, assists, and field-goal percentage this year. He could be a sneaky add for as long as Washington is out- which could be at least five games. Up next for Monk is a Wednesday night matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers, one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA.
