5 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves small forward Andrew Wiggins couldn't help the team end their losing streak despite a 27-point effort on Wednesday against New Orleans. With Karl Anthony Towns (knee) out, the Wolves relied heavily on Wiggins, who ended up playing 42 minutes. He could've been a lot more effective with his play as he shot only 9-for-23 from the field. Wigging also had seven rebounds and two steals with four turnovers. The Timberwolves have now lost eight straight ahead of a trip to Denver to face a Nuggets team that's among the league's best defensive sides. It will be a tricky matchup for Wiggins, as the Nuggets have limited opposing small forwards to just 41.4 percent shooting this season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
