Spencer Dinwiddie Drops Career-High 41 Points In Loss
5 years agoBrooklyn Nets point/shooting guard Spencer Dinwiddie notched another feather in his cap during what has been a breakout campaign, setting a new career high with 41 points on 14-for-29 shooting during Thursday’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs have had difficulty checking opposing guards throughout the year, but Dinwiddie was scorching hot no matter who was guarding him, as he raised his scoring average on the year to 22.1 points per game. Kyrie Irving will remain out of the mix for at least the immediate future, allowing Dinwiddie -- who also added five assists and four made triples -- to continue seeing an enormous workload for Brooklyn on a nightly basis. He will have an opportunity to replicate the performance Saturday when he faces Atlanta, who has yielded the most DFS points per game (FanDuel) to the opposition this season.
