Patty Mills Drills Season-High Seven Triples Off Bench
5 years agoSan Antonio Spurs point/shooting guard Patty Mills needed just 26 minutes to compile 27 points as a reserve during Thursday’s win over the Brooklyn Nets. He shot 8-for-14 from the field overall, but 7-for-10 from long range, setting a new season high in triples made. The only other time in his regular-season career that Mills has knocked down seven threes came Jan. 17, 2018, also versus the Nets. Mills’ has now gone for 26, four, and 27 points in each of his last three games, respectively, speaking to how fluctuating his fantasy prospects can be on a nightly basis. With little contributions across other categories, he is primarily a scoring and threes asset for owners, one who sees his minutes dictated based on in-game performance, a notoriously finicky fantasy conundrum.
