5 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram posted 19 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, two triples, and two steals in a 102-94 win over the Portland Trail Blazers. Ingram fell back down to earth after two scorching shooting performances, though the fall was less noticeable thanks to his sixth double-double this year. His breakout has arrived, albeit a year later than most people expected. The 22-year-old has averaged career-highs in several categories, most notably points, 25 per game, and free throw percentage, 84.4 percent. Ingram and the Pelicans will square off on Christmas night against the Denver Nuggets, who have one of the league's best defenses.--Tim Capurso
