Kevin Porter Jr. Collects 16 Points Off Bench
5 years agoCleveland Cavaliers shooting guard/small forward Kevin Porter Jr. finished with 16 points during Friday’s loss to the Boston Celtics, giving him back-to-back games scoring in double figures for the first time in his career. Porter shot 5-for-9 overall, including knocking down one triple, his seventh straight game with exactly one make from long range. After a slow start to his professional career, Porter has averaged 11.5 points per game in December, giving him value in deeper season-long leagues. In addition to the scoring, he pitched in four assists and three rebounds, taking a chunk out of the role normally reserved for fellow rookie Darius Garland, which is a development worth monitoring moving forward.
