Michael Porter Jr. Has Career Night Against Kings
5 years agoDenver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. made his first career NBA start in Sunday's 120-115 victory against the Kings, and showed impressive flashes in the effective performance. The 21-year-old got the call with Gary Harris (shin) sidelined and made the most of his time on court with a career-high 19 points scored on 8-for-10 shooting from the field, 1-for-3 from beyond the arc and 2-for-2 from the free throw line. Porter Jr. followed up his 11-point outing against the Grizzlies with another quality performance, along with a highlight-reel put-back dunk in the fourth quarter. Porter Jr. added six rebounds and one assist in 26 minutes — a career-high. The rookie is worth a speculative add across all formats if Gary Harris is forced to miss the next few games.
