Ian Mahinmi Collects Career-High 25 Points
5 years agoWashington Wizards center Ian Mahinmi played his first regular-season NBA contest Oct. 30, 2007. In career game No. 592 on Monday, Mahinmi scored the most points -- 25 -- in a single outing in his career as he helped to knock off the Miami Heat. If the scoring weren’t enough, Mahinmi, who had his four threes in his career prior, knocked down two Monday en route to a 10-for-11 overall shooting performance. It was an all-around showing from the 33-year-old, who added five rebounds, two steals and two blocks to what was the best statistical night of his career, capitalizing on the increased playing time and role that the decimated Wizards depth chart has provided him with. He continues to have legitimate fantasy upside moving forward, all the more with the actualization of his ability to score in bunches when given the chance.
