5 years agoMemphis Grizzlies point guard JA Morant continued his up-and-down rookie season on Thursday night against the Sacramento Kings. The NBA's Rookie of the Month for December finished his evening with 23 points (8-for-13 on field goals and 2-for-3 from three), seven assists, one rebound and seven turnovers. The seven turnovers are not how Morant wanted to start 2020, and he is now averaging 3.2 turnovers per game this season. He had a hot start to the season, but he has run into some rookie growing pains since then. He still ranks 16th in the league in assists per game and would be hard to take out of your lineups unless your league penalizes heavily for turnovers.--Euan Leith
