5 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns will remain sidelined for Sunday’s game versus the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a right knee sprain. Towns’ absence has now extended into its 10th game, paving the way for Gorgui Dieng to remain among the starting five and to continue to see a sizable role on both ends of the floor. The fact that Minnesota continues to leave Towns’ status ambiguous until shortly before tip-off could bode well for his return sooner rather than later, but the team has been mum about his standing at practice. His next chance at returning to action comes Tuesday against Memphis.--Jesse Borek
