Lou Williams Sinks Season-High Six Threes In 32-Point Effort
5 years agoLos Angeles Clippers point/shooting guard Lou Williams was in a groove from the field during Sunday’s victory over the New York Knicks, shooting 9-for-18 overall, including 6-for-10 from long range as he compiled 32 points off the bench. Williams may have tied his season high with seven turnovers, but his 8-for-8 performance at the free-throw stripe, his season-high six threes, nine assists and two rebounds helped swing the pendulum of performance back in his favor. The scoring total marks Williams’ highest this season when coming off the bench, as he saw an increased role on the offensive end with Kawhi Leonard on the sidelines. Williams remains a perpetual scoring threat on a nightly basis, next facing Golden State on Friday, whom he dropped 22 points against in their previous meeting on Oct. 24.
