5 years agoCleveland Cavaliers point/shooting guard Dante Exum was electric as a reserve during Sunday’s loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, shooting 11-for-13 overall en route to a career-best 28-point effort. Exum, who has battled myriad injuries over the years, stepped up with a larger offensive role as Kevin Porter Jr. exited with a knee injury of his own. Exum sank all four threes that he attempted, also adding three rebounds and two assists. A player that has always had legitimate fantasy ability, Exum will look to utilize his fresh start in Cleveland as a springboard. He may not be worth snatching off the waiver wire just yet, but another strong performance Tuesday against Detroit could begin to ramp up the level of attention that the Australian is receiving.--Jesse Borek
