5 years agoAtlanta Hawks power forward/center John Collins has been given the green light to play in Monday’s contest against the Denver Nuggets after having previously been tagged as questionable due to a back bruise. Collins sustained the injury Friday before being held out of action Saturday, leaving Atlanta short-handed. With him back in the mix, Collins figures to see a sizable workload, as Jabari Parker has been ruled out behind him. The 22-year-old has looked strong since returning from suspension, having logged two double-doubles in his first five games, shooting 52.6 percent from the field overall.--Jesse Borek
