5 years agoBoston Celtics shooting guard/small forward Jaylen Brown posted his fifth double-double of the season during Monday’s defeat to the Washington Wizards. Brown continued to benefit offensively from the absence of Kemba Walker (illness), as he fired up a season-high 22 shots en route to a 23-point showing. While Brown shot just 2-for-10 from long range, he managed to grab a season-best and team-high 12 boards across his 33 minutes. He has quietly put together a season that borders on All-Star consideration, on pace to set new career highs in points (20.7), rebounds (7.2) and assists (2.3) per contest, all while shooting 51.1 percent from the field overall.--Jesse Borek
