Derrick Rose Knocks Down Go-Ahead Bucket Versus Former Team
5 years agoDetroit Pistons point/shooting guard Derrick Rose put his squad ahead for good in the waning seconds of Tuesday’s win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. The former MVP led the way with a team-high 24 points as a reserve, having now reached the 20-point plateau in five of his last six outings. The 21 shots that Rose got up tied a season high, as he knocked down nine, including two triples, which helped to boost a stat line that also included seven assists and three rebounds across 31 minutes. With Blake Griffin out for the foreseeable future, there may be incrementally more shots to go around. Rose gets to run it back versus Cleveland on Thursday.
