Marcus Smart Scores Season-High 24 Points
5 years agoBoston Celtics guard Marcus Smart came off the bench and scored a season-high 24 points on Thursday night. In the 109-98 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, Smart was one of the few bright spots for the Celtics. Gordon Hayward, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined for only 29 points, so Smart picked up the slack for his team in the scoring department. Along with his 24 points, Smart also contributed three steals, but only one rebound and one assist. It is the first time Smart has even scored above 20 points this season, so fantasy managers should not get used to nights like this for the Celtics sixth man. He will look to follow up Thursday's performance against the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday.
