Al Horford Scores 17 Points On Thursday
5 years agoIn Philadelphia's first game since All-Star center Joel Embiid was declared out indefinitely, Al Horford helped his team gut out a win over the Boston Celtics on Thursday night. Horford had 17 points, eight rebounds, six assists, two blocks and one steal. It is the first time Horford has scored 15-plus points since Dec. 2, and it may not be a coincidence that it happened on the first night of Embiid's absence. Horford expressed some discontent about his role in the 76ers offense recently, and for him and his fantasy owners this injury could not have come at a better time. Expect his stats to rise for the next couple of weeks as Embiid recovers from his surgery.
