Trae Young Held Without Made Three-Point Bucket
5 years agoOn the heels of a historic 42-point triple-double in his previous outing, Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young hit a bump in the road during Friday’s defeat to the Washington Wizards. Young led his team in scoring with 19 points, but shot 7-for-20 overall, including 0-for-7 from behind the three-point line, just the second time this season that he failed to knock down a three in an outing. His six turnovers nearly cancelled out his seven assists, as he did manage to add four rebounds and two steals to his tumultuous showing. He next faces a Brooklyn squad Sunday that he has scorched for 39 and 47 points, respectively, in two prior December meetings.
