Derrick Favors, J.J. Redick Ruled Out For Saturday
5 years agoThe New Orleans Pelicans will be severely short-handed for Saturday’s contest versus the Boston Celtics as the duo of power forward/center Derrick Favors and shooting guard J.J. Redick will join point guard Jrue Holiday on the sidelines. Favors departed Friday’s game with a hamstring injury, paving the way for rookie Jaxson Hayes to collect his second straight double, as he also entered the starting lineup Saturday. With Redick out of the mix, E’Twaun Moore is likely to see an increased role, while Brandon Ingram should see a lion’s share of offensive duties. The next chance for either to return to the lineup comes Monday against the Pistons.
