Derrick Rose Drops Team-High 20 Points Versus Former Squad
5 years agoDetroit Pistons point/shooting guard Derrick Rose collected a team-high 20 points off the bench on 7-for-11 shooting during Saturday’s loss to the Chicago Bulls. The Chicago native has now reeled off five consecutive outings with at least 20 points to his credit, raising his shooting percentage on the year to 49 percent in the process, which puts him on pace for a new career high. In addition to the scoring, Rose dished out seven assists, which gives him 5.8 on a nightly basis this year, his highest mark since 2011-12 when he was a member of the Bulls. He should benefit from the up-tempo nature of Monday’s meeting with New Orleans, whom he dropped 21 points against back on Dec. 9.
