Jarrett Culver Drops Team-High 17 Points In Defeat
5 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves point/shooting guard Jarrett Culver led his team in scoring for just the second time in his career during Wednesday’s loss to the Indiana Pacers with 17 points on 8-for-13 shooting. The absence of Karl-Anthony Towns (knee/illness) has paved the way for Culver to see a sizable role in the Timberwolves' offense on a nightly basis, as the rookie has averaged 15.2 points on 14 shot attempts over his last nine games, all of which have seen him finish in double figures. Entrenched in the starting five, Culver has also shown potential elsewhere in the stat sheet, having added five rebounds and two steals against Indiana. If he remains on the waiver wire in any mid-sized season-long formats or deeper, he is certainly worth the add for the role that he is likely to play over the second half alone.
