Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Drops Season-High 20 Points Off Bench
5 years agoLos Angeles Lakers shooting guard/small forward Kentavious Caldwell-Pope tied his season high with 34 minutes played off the bench during Saturday’s win over the Houston Rockets, allowing his time on the floor to help him set a new season high in scoring with 20 points. Caldwell-Pope shot 7-for-14 from the field overall, marking his highest shot attempt total this year. In addition to the scoring, he pitched in four assists, three rebounds and two steals to deliver what was arguably his best fantasy performance of 2019-20. He will need to string together a few more performances comparable to Saturday before he earns legitimate season-long consideration in most formats, but the Lakers’ second unit appears to have found a new provider of offensive punch.
