5 years agoHouston Rockets point guard Russell Westbrook led his squad in scoring in back-to-back games for just the second time this season during Saturday’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Westbrook logged his second-highest shooting percentage of the year (65.2), while going for 35 points across 40 minutes. In typical Westbrook fashion, he flirted with a triple-double by adding nine rebounds and seven assists, also adding three steals. After a slow start -- by his MVP-level standards -- to the season, Westbrook has found a groove in the new year, having reeled off four consecutive games in excess of 30 points. He next faces his former squad, the Oklahoma City Thunder, on Monday.--Jesse Borek
