5 years agoMemphis Grizzlies point guard JA Morant couldn't find the mark on Martin Luther King day, finishing a loss to the Pelicans shooting five of 14 on his way to 16 points and nine assists. Such struggles from the field are the result of the stifling defensive Pelicans duo of Lonzo Ball and Jrue Holiday, but Morant was poised enough to dish the rock and limit himself to just two turnovers in 34 minutes. He continues to dazzle with incredible athleticism and feel for the game, and his numbers certainly reflect that heightened level of poise. Every rookie has their off nights, and there's no reason to think Morant's hype train won't regain speed as the Grizzlies head to Boston on Wednesday for a battle with the Celtics.--Daniel Lubofsky - RotoBaller
