5 years agoPortland Trail Blazers center Hassan Whiteside logged a season-high 44 minutes during Monday’s victory over the Golden State Warriors and utilized his time on the floor to notch a 17-point, 21-rebound double-double. His rebounding onslaught marked his fifth occasion this year in which he has accrued at least 20 boards in a game, as he also turned away six shots and added two assists. In addition to currently ranking as the league’s leading shot blocker (3.0 per game), Whiteside has reeled off a double-double in 31 of his 41 outings this season, a realization of his elite fantasy potential.--Jesse Borek
