Alec Burks Sinks Season-High 33 Points In Overtime Loss
5 years agoGolden State Warriors point/shooting guard Alec Burks retained his starting role during Monday’s defeat to the Portland Trail Blazers and recorded a season-high 33 points on 11-for-23 shooting. With Draymond Green (illness) and Glenn Robinson III (ankle) both ruled out just prior to tip-off, Burks saw a large role on both ends of the floor for the Warriors, finishing with eight assists (tying his season high), seven rebounds and two blocks. His scoring output marks his highest regular-season total since Jan. 13, 2014, when he was with Utah. Even with Monday’s performance factored in, he’s still shooting just 33.8 percent over his last nine games, but Burks remains a strong source of points and DFS upside ahead of Wednesday’s matchup with his old squad, Utah.
