5 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid has been cleared to return to the floor for Tuesday’s contest against the Golden State Warriors. Embiid had missed each of his team’s nine previous outings after undergoing hand surgery, so it’s possible that head coach Brett Brown eases him back into the mix. Regardless, Al Horford is likely to see a reduction in role, while opposing frontcourt players now have to content with Embiid’s defensive ability. He has delivered double-doubles in 24 of his 31 outings thus far this season, having already been named to the 2019-20 All-Star team.--Jesse Borek
