5 years agoMemphis Grizzlies guard Dillon Brooks showed a different side of his game in a 104-96 win over the Denver Nuggets. Brooks poured in a team-high 24 points on 57.9 percent shooting along with three assists, a rebound, a triple, a steal, and a block in 33 minutes. The 24-year-old couldn't get his reliable three-ball going, though he didn't need it on a night where he got into the painted area effectively. Brooks continues to improve by the month, with January being his best one yet. The former Oregon Duck has averaged 20.8 points per game in this month. Up next for Brooks is a Wednesday matchup with the Knicks, who just surrendered 30 points to guard Terry Rozier.--Tim Capurso
