DeMar DeRozan Scores Season-High 38 Points
5 years agoSan Antonio Spurs forward DeMar DeRozan scored 38 points and led his team to an upset win over the red-hot Utah Jazz on Wednesday night. His final line was 38 points on 11-for-19 shooting, five rebounds and five assists. DeRozan was aggressive and got to the free-throw line a season-high 19 times and made a season-high 16 of them. During his 38-point outing, the former Toronto Raptor passed the 16,000 career-points mark in what was his highest scoring game since 2018. He's not the flashiest player in the NBA by any stretch of the imagination but sits as the No. 5 small forward in ESPN's Player Rater. Considering his deflated value on draft day, all the fantasy managers that drafted him should be enjoying the rewards they are reaping from DeRozan's second season in Texas.
