Patty Mills Fires Only From Long Range In Defeat
5 years agoSan Antonio Spurs point/shooting guard Patty Mills clearly saw no incentive to stepping inside the three-point line during Monday’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, but he shot 6-for-13 from behind the arc en route to an 18-point showing. It marks the second time this season that Mills had zero two-point field goals attempted. But his double-digit scoring effort marks his fourth consecutive contest reaching that plateau, as Mills has become uber-aggressive from long range as of late, attempting an average of nine triples on a nightly basis over his last seven games. He has made multiple threes in each of those outings, making him a viable streaming play in category leagues for the foreseeable future.
