Alec Burks Drops Team-High 30 Points In 29 Minutes
5 years agoGolden State Warriors point/shooting guard Alec Burks took advantage of the absence of leading scorer D'Angelo Russell to lead his squad in scoring with 30 points on 9-for-17 shooting during Monday’s win over the Washington Wizards. Burks set new career highs by firing up 10 triples and knocking down five to mark the best long range shooting night of his nine-year professional career. He tossed a cherry on top by adding three rebounds, two assists and two steals, as he continues to key not only the Warriors’ second unit, but their closing group, especially when Russell is out of the mix. Irrespective of Russell’s status, Burks should retain a hefty workload Wednesday against an up-tempo Nets group.
