Bradley Beal Continues Scoring Excellence With 43-Point Outing
5 years agoIt appears that keeping Washington Wizards shooting guard/small forward Bradley Beal off of the All-Star roster lit a fire under him that has unleashed a scoring barrage on the rest of the league. Beal dropped 43 points on the Golden State Warriors during Monday’s defeat, marking the seventh time this season that he has reached the 40-point plateau. He once again had enormous offensive usage (even with many key Wizards returning), finishing 15-for-30 from the field overall and 10-for-10 from the free-throw stripe. In addition to the scoring, he also tied for the team high in assists with six, polishing off his stat sheet with two rebounds and two steals. Beal is now averaging a staggering 38.9 points over his last seven outings, enjoying the best offensive stretch of his career that doesn’t appear to be slowing anytime soon.
