D'Angelo Russell Goes Cold From Deep Against Nets
5 years agoGolden State Warriors guard D'Angelo Russell didn't play well in his return to the Barclays Center on Wednesday night. In a lopsided 129-88 loss to Brooklyn, the 23-year-old scored only 17 points, while going 7-for-20 from the field and a miserable 0-for-8 from deep. Russell, who has been the topic of trade rumors as of late, was admittingly rattled by the departures of Glenn Robinson III and Alec Burks, who were both dealt to Philadelphia before the start of this one. With this game in the books, things will get much more difficult for Russell and company as the Warriors will head back home for a meeting with the Lakers on Saturday. Nonetheless, he should remain starting in all fantasy lineups moving ahead as he will continue to receive plenty of chances to put up points, especially with Stephen Curry (hand) unlikely to return in the foreseeable future.
