Hassan Whiteside Bounces Back With Massive Performance
5 years agoPortland Trail Blazers center Hassan Whiteside bounced back from arguably his worst performance of the season against Denver on Tuesday night to dominate the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday. Whiteside grabbed a season-low five rebounds against the Nuggets, so he decided to come back and tie his season-high with 23 boards against the Spurs. In the 125-117 victory, the former-Miami big man also added 17 points on 8-for-10 shooting, four blocks, one assist, and one steal in 36 minutes of action. Whiteside has averaged four blocks per game over his last 10 contests, and, when you combine that with his 16.6 points and 14.4 rebounds per game, it's not hard to imagine how he currently ranks as the No. 2 center in standard ESPN leagues.
