John Collins Drops 30 Points, Logs Sixth Straight Double-Double
5 years agoAtlanta Hawks power forward/center John Collins hit the 30-point plateau for the fourth time this season during Friday’s defeat to the Boston Celtics. He reeled off his sixth straight double-double by finishing with 30 points on 10-for-19 shooting, while snagging 10 rebounds. He ramped up his aggressiveness on offense without Trae Young (ankle) available, as Collins took a season-high 10 free throws, of which he hit nine. How the arrival of Clint Capela affects his rebounding rate moving forward remains to be seen, but at an average of 20.1 points per game this year, he is likely to remain a considerable part of the team’s plans over the final two-plus months.
