Deandre Ayton Sets Franchise Record On Saturday
5 years agoPhoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton set a franchise record by collecting his 1,000th career rebound in just his 94th game on Saturday night against the Denver Nuggets. The Suns still fell to the Nuggets 117-108 despite Ayton's 28 points, 19 rebounds, three steals, two assists, and one block in a season-high 42 minutes. The 2018 No. 1 overall pick has scored 20-plus points in four of his last five games and is averaging 19.5 points on 53.6 percent shooting, 11. 7 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks in his previous 10 games. Don't expect Ayton's fantasy production to slow down despite the Suns slipping out of the playoff race. The sophomore center was suspended for 25 games earlier this season, and the Suns will surely want to get him as many game reps as possible before heading into his third season in the league, which is great news for fantasy managers that stuck with him.
