5 years agoNew York Knicks guard Elfrid Payton struggled on Sunday despite playing for 37 minutes in the 140-135 double-overtime loss to the Hawks. The 25-year-old went 5-for-14 from the field, scoring 12 points. He also added four rebounds, nine assists, one block and two steals. In seven of the last eight games, the sixth-year player has been scoring over his season average of 9.4 points, which is encouraging from a fantasy perspective. On a Knicks team filled with role players rather than superstars, Payton has been doing well recently. He could be a great bench player if he's available in leagues. As luck would have it, a matchup with a bad defense in the Wizards awaits on Wednesday.--Rishi Patel - RotoBaller
