Marquese Chriss Falls One Rebound Shy of Double-Double
5 years agoGolden State Warriors forward Marquese Chriss just missed out on a double-double for the second straight game in a 113-101 loss to the Miami Heat on Monday. The 2016 draft pick's final line was 17 points, nine rebounds, two steals, and one block in 27 minutes while also tying his season-high with nine free-throw attempts and making seven of them. After taking more than 10 shots in only four of his first 44 games this season, Chriss now has 10-plus field goal attempts in four of his last five games and is averaging 14.8 points on 58.8 percent shooting in those five February games. The fourth-year forward will hope to finish off the first half of the season with another strong performance against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night.
