5 years agoPortland Trail Blazers point/shooting guard Anfernee Simons has been given the thumbs up to return to action for Tuesday’s contest against the New Orleans Pelicans after a one-game absence due to a concussion. Simons should be in line to reclaim his role off the bench against the up-tempo Pelicans, potentially suppressing Gary Trent Jr.'s role, who was the only Trail Blazers to score as a reserve Sunday. The 20-year-old Simons has kicked off February by shooting 54.2 percent overall in his first four contests, having increased his scoring average this season to 8.9 points per game.--Jesse Borek
