Thon Maker Continues Stellar Play With 18 Points
5 years agoDetroit Pistons forward Thon Maker compiled 18 points, two rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal during 27 minutes in the 116-112 overtime loss to the Magic on Wednesday. Maker is making a run at fantasy relevance, and this marks the third time in four games that the 22-year-old has scored in double digits. He has only scored in double digits six times this season before this current mini hot streak. Of course, the former Buck is just one of the few beneficiaries of Andre Drummond leaving the team. Though Maker should be on the fantasy radar, wait a few more games just to make sure he is developing the type of consistency a solid fantasy player should display. Nevertheless, the third-year player could reach fantasy relevance after the All-Star break, in part due to Detroit's lack of a true center and the fact that Blake Griffin (knee) is out for the season.
